You’re invited to attend #Network4Cause benefiting C.A.F.F.E. (Clothing and Food for Everyone), the community volunteer organization that Chicas Latinas de Sacramento volunteers alongside, feeding and clothing Sacramento’s less fortunate.

Please join us for a wonderful evening of networking for a cause. Registration is completely FREE, food will be provided and drink purchases will benefit C.A.F.F.E. and their work with the homeless community.

During #Network4Cause, C.A.F.F.E. will be accepting donations for the homeless, to be distributed on January 25, at 8am at Cesar Chavez Park.

Chicas Latinas running group to join Feet Fleet Holiday Classic

We’ll take any opportunity to run for a great cause! From the Run To Feed The Hungry now onto Fleet Feet’s 8th annual Holiday Classic Fun Run happening Sunday, December 14th, 2014 at 8am meeting at Sutters Landing Park (20 28th St, Sacramento, CA 95816).

      

Rather than running our typical route on Sundays, anyone is open to joining the Chicas Latinas running group for this fun, charitable cause. Registration is free so long as an unwrapped toy for the Salvation Army Toy Drive is brought. It is a 5k course and participants have the choice of running or walking. We hope to see you on the course!

Hello Chicas and chicos, unfortunately with the predictions harsh storm conditions this evening, we are going to postpone Wednesday’s run until next week. However, Sunday’s event is confirmed and ready for those who’re looking to run for a good cause. More information on that is soon to come.

Volunteer in Sacramento: Holiday Gift Wrapping with Chicas Latinas

The end of the year has finally presented itself and calls for Chicas Latinas de Sacramento to help wrap Christmas gifts for the local organization called A Christmas Promise, on Sunday December 7th 2014 at The North Pole (1428 Howe Avenue Sacramento, CA 95825).

Each year, A Christmas Promise receives approximately 250 “Dear Santa” Letters from disadvantaged children acquired from church organizations, referral agencies, teacher and social workers in the Sacramento region.

By granting the wishes of these children, A Christmas Promise- with the help of Chicas Latinas- Santa is sent to the homes of the children on Christmas Eve.

To be able to make this magic happen we will need 10 Chicas volunteers, or Santa’s helpers, to come and help wrap gifts (with a max of 16 volunteers)!
