We are busy this time of year, just how busy?
This month, one of our organizers held a “Get fed so you can feed a needy family for Thanksgiving” event and collected over 50lbs. of food and 4 bags of clothing for needy families. These items were donated to the Sacramento Food Bank. Way to go! December 11th: ADOPT A FAMILY GIFT PURCHASE AND WRAPPINGFamily Adopted: ONE PARENT , WITH A ONE YEAR OLD SON AND A TWO YEAR OLD SON.
Needed:
– At least one “need” and one “want” gift, wrapped, for each child.
– A household gift for the family (valued under $100).
– An optional grocery store gift card — amount of your choice (donors usually give $50 or more but any amount is appreciated). Donations need to be delivered to our office (2411 Alhambra Blvd. Suite 110 Sacramento, 95817) between Monday, Dec. 13 to Friday, Dec. 17, from 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Throughout December: WEAVE Holiday Toy Shoppe
This is a unique way to create a joyful holiday for women and children who have experienced violence. Gifts will be collected for individuals who have received services at WEAVE in the last six months. WEAVE will be accepting new, unwrapped gifts November 29 through December 17. If you are interested in hosting a toy drive or volunteering, send an email to elf@weaveinc.org. Donations are being accepted at the WEAVE Counseling Center, 1900 K Street, Sacramento from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, or at the WEAVE thrift stores.
